"M&M Pull Up Holder"

I decided to make something for the Principal and Vice Principal at school. I bought two of the quart sized paint cans and I was going to fill them with wrapped candy. WRONG! Turns out that they aren't tall enough for the M&M holders or the Wrapped Hershey Bars. So I guess I will just have to put them in a cello bag with the other goodies that I am making, and save the paint cans for another project. I will take a picture of everything together when I am done. I made 50 of these M&M holders last year for a lady and I said that I was never going to make them again. They were a lot of work, well, I was wrong again. I made more. LOL

Here is how these work. There is a ribbon tied around the bottom of the M&M package and then tied at the top with a bow, when you pull the bow up, the candy pops out. Super cute ha?
Stamps: Trick or Treat
Paper: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White, Creepy Crawly DP
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: Tangerine Grosgrain, Orange Stickles, M&M's, Hand Held Rectangle and Circle punch, Corner Rounder

Here are the directions to make these.

"Happy Birthday"

I love this stamp set. It is the new Gina K set. $7.00 of every set goes directly to the Make a Wish Foundation You can get it here. Once again, Kristine was kind enough to stamp some for me. My youngest daughter (5) looked at the card she said, "It's nice but I could make it prettier." She wanted to add more glitter and make the frosting chocolate. She is a cutie. The background paper is one of those small stacks that I got at Michael's years ago. It matches the turquoise perfect. I also like the black as an accent. It makes everything pop.

"Thank You Gift"

I made this for a lady who purchased 10 nugget boxes from me as a thank you for her order. She saw my teacher nugget boxes on scs and asked if she could buy 10 of them. I hope she likes it. I am totally addicted to this paper. I made her a bag topper, wrapped Hershey bar, RSVP pen, and a notebook with her name on it. I didn't do too much stamping on these.I stamped the background of the Hershey Bar wrapper with the small outline flower from Simply Said but you can't really see it. The flower stamp that I used for everything else is from All About U, it matches the flower on the paper. The stamp on the bag topper says "just a little something for you" It is from Pocket Fun.

"Stippled Leaves"

These are the cards I made at stamp camp. The first one is a case from the catalog. There are some changes though. We did direct to paper and used different colors. I have never stippled before so these were cool cards for me to make. If you haven't stippled either, here is what you do. You stamp the stamp in the ink, then take the stippling brush and tap it in re inkers and then tap that on the stamp then stamp it on your card. Does that make sense? For the first card, here is the details.
Stamps: Autumn Fest, Much Appreciated
Paper: Close to Cocoa, Garden Green, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Ink: Marigold Morning, Ruby Red, Old Olive, Close To Cocoa, Garden Green
Accessories: Grosgrain Ribbon, SU Square Punch, Stapler, Stipple Brush, Re Inkers

This card used some of the new In Colors. The leaf is also stippled on this card. I like this card even if it is simple. I guess sometimes simple is best. This isn't the style of card I would usually make but I really like it. I love the distressing we used.
Stamps: Autumn Feast, It's Your Birthday
Paper: River Rock, Wild Wasabi, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
Ink: Sahara Sand, Really Rust
Accessories: Stipple Brush, Re Inkers, Hemp Twine, Distressing Tool

The last one I made using the same colors. I really liked doing the stippling, I just might have to get some of those brushes. I don't have a lot of solid stamps to do it with so maybe I should get this stamp set. It really looks cool.

"Just Be Claws"

I love this card. I think it is sooooo cute. I don't have this stamp. Kristine stamped it for me. I really want it. I think I have to get it. I brought back the cuttlebug. Did you miss it? LOL. I had this card design in my head for a while. I knew exactly how I was going to make this card. So I got done and I admired my cute card and went on with my day. Later I was looking at Kristine's SCS gallery and there was my card. Well, it was her card but it looked like mine. Actually mine looked like hers. That is why I had the idea in my head for this card. I had already seen it before. Man, I am such a dork. LOL Here is a link to Kristine's card.

"My Nephew's Pre-School Treats"

So, I posted the bag toppers that I made for my girl's classes for Halloween and I got a call from my sister. She was like, I'll take 20 for Roman's class. I said sure, I can do that for him. She said, she was just kidding because we live 2400 miles away. She said that I can make him stuff when we move closer and I can drive them to her. Well, I can't let my nephew not bring a treat to class. That just isn't right. So I made these last night and I am going to send them to her. I am lovin' the blue and orange, if you can't tell.

I have done that before on cards. I love the look. The paper is SU designer paper called Fall Flowers. The rest of the paper is all the new "in colors" Great layout on this card too.

Hmmmmm.... how did that happen? LOL I am going to make some thing this weekend for the ladies in the office since I have the classroom treats and teachers treats done so early. "Halloween Bag Toppers"

Here are the bag toppers that I made for my girl's classes for Halloween. Aren't they cute? As you all know, I love stickles. I put orange stickles on the cat and black. I cracked up after I put the googlie eyes on. I made 44 of these. 22 for each class. I also made nugget boxes for the teachers and the aids, I will post them tomorrow. I think I will check in the office to see how many ladies are working in there. I might have to make them something since I am done with the bag toppers and the nugget boxes so soon. Here is a close up of the toppers.

"Stamped Candle"

Here is a candle that I stamped for VSN. I stamped the tissue paper and then colored it with markers. Then I wrapped it around the candle and wrapped wax paper around that and heated it with my heat gun. If you haven't made one of these you have to try it. They are so fun. You can either stamp solid stamps or outlined stamps and color them with markers. If you stamp with solid stamps you might want to wait a minute before you heat it so that the ink can dry so it doesn't run. I made a few mistakes when I started making these. I get my candles at the dollar store. You can find the directions here for the stamped candles.

"My Goodie Bag"

Last weekend I went to Kristine's house for VSN. When I got there Kristine had this cool basket full of goodies waiting for me in my room. She made me a binder with all the splitcoast sketch challenges and all the color challenges so far. She also stamped Rochelle's Mojo on the front. Very cool. She also got me a bunch of Primas, a thank you stamp, some brads, a pack of DCWV paper, some clear stamps, ribbon, flowers with beads in the middle, and a small pink tote filled with stamped images. How cool. I brought her some lunch boxes and small tin boxes to alter, and some popcorn boxes from the Target $1 spot that she can put stuff in for gifts. I think my gifts to her were lame compared to what she gave me. Thanks Kristine. Next time we meet my gift to you will rock. LOL

"My Hubby Rocks"

So our 14th anniversary was on Tuesday the 11th. I can't believe that we have been married for 14 years. (feels like 20) LOL Anyway, we didn't get to do anything this year because he has been home sick all week. He couldn't walk. He has something wrong with his foot. They aren't really sure what is wrong but are leaning towards tendinitis. He has not been able to put any pressure on it until yesterday. As you know we have three girls who love to be on the computers. We have two right now, a desk top and an old laptop. Well when you are laid up in bed for a week it gets pretty boring and he wanted to play on the computer but they were always being used. So he sent me to Best Buy on Wednesday and had me get a new laptop for my anniversary. It is awesome I was so excited. My very own laptop. He liked it so much that a few hours later, he sent me back to Best Buy to get one for him too. So now we have matching laptops. Woo Hoo. We got Compaq's. They have windscreens, Pentium processors, built in wireless and Windows Vista. They were $100 off and they were $449 each. What an great price. They had quite a few computers for that price but we went with the Compaq because of the Pentium Processor. If you are looking for laptops, check out Best Buy right now. Great deals.

"I Miss You"

I made this card for VSN last weekend. The challenge was to use the same image for the background as the main image. I don't have this set. Again, I used Kristine's. I have seen a lot of pretty cards with it too so I wanted to use it for my card. I also love the colors that I have chosen for this card. It is one of my favorite combos. Well, actually I love anything with celery. And I love to use black as an accent.

I was in my local stamp store last week and I was talking to them about "Ugly Bird" and she said, have you seen the 4 pack of smaller birds? I was like, no but now I have to have them. Aren't they cute? Kristine and I decided that the momma bird and the babies are cute but daddy is one "Ugly Bird" LOL

"Halloween Waterfall"

This is a waterfall card that I made this weekend for VSN. I love making these cards. I haven't actually made one in a while so it was nice to do one this weekend. The directions can be found Here If you haven't made one of these you should, they are so fun to make and fun for the receiver. I always do mine sideways, most of the ones I see go up and down. These are great WOW cards for kids too because they are interactive. This one is kinda boring because I was in a hurry.

"SCS VSN Weekend"

This weekend I participated in splitcoast's VSN (virtual stamp night)Have you ever done one? Let me tell you, I was so stressed out. But in a good way. I haven't done one before but have always wanted to. My friend Kristine has done two before and said they were "so fun", plus you get to make a bunch of cards. She neglected to tell me that it was stressful. Probably because she wasn't stressed out. LOL Anyway, she invited me to her house for the weekend so we could do it together. I was so excited. I drove the 6 hour trip to her house and couldn't wait to get started. If you haven't done one before, the idea is that they have a theme and give you a different challenge each hour. You have 45 minutes to make your card and post it in your scs gallery. Sounds easy right? Well, I panicked. I didn't know what stamp to use, what colors do I pick and what the heck kind of a layout should I do? That's pretty much how it was for each challenge. We barley talked during Friday night. We were trying to concentrate on making our cards. We did laugh about that later. I had a great time and when we did the ones on Saturday night, I was a little more relaxed. The theme was "Jumping Into Fall" Here is one of the cards I made. This challenge was to take your favorite Halloween candy and make a card using the colors of the wrapper. My favorite candy is 3 musketeers. So I used red, white, blue, and black. This was a fun one and I really like how my card turned out.

"Happy Birthday for a Boy"

I thought I posted all the cards I made on vacation. But I found one more. I like this one for a little boy. I totally copied my friend Shelly's card. The stamps are from a clear set that she had. The stop sign punch with the greeting inside is a Creative Memories Punch. It is outlined with stickles, of course. There is also stickles on the three lights of the traffic light. Also the background is cuttlebugged with the embossing folder called traffic jam. How perfect is that.

"Just a Little Something"

I found the last card I made on vacation. Ok, it was not the last card I made, it is the last one that I have to post. (I think) I love the color combo of this one. The whole card....not so much. It's ok, but nothing special. I have no idea what stamp set this is from. It belongs to my friend Shelly in MN. The layout is a fun one. It is a past splitcoast sketch challenge. It is a fun one too. You should try it if you haven't. The paper is from Target. It is the one with the adhesive back. No glue required. Woo Hoo.

"King of the Ugly Birds"

This one cracks me up. I have these hat stamps and I thought that the crown was funny. I colored it with markers and a gold Krylon pen. I also did some doodling with the Krylon gold pen. I added some bling to the crown as well. What an important bird he is. This week I am buying a 4 pack of small birds that match "Ugly Bird" They are very cute. I do think that "Ugly Bird" is cute. I really do like him now. It took a while but he grew on me. I am still going to call him "Ugly Bird" though. LOL

"Booglie Fun"

I found this cool paper at my local stamp store. I love it. It looks almost like it is embossed with glitter on all the stripes and the squiggle. Which you can't see in the scan. So I took my Gelly Roll pen and put some glitter on the outlines of the vampire. I also put some around the scallops. You also can't see that in the scan. I also like the non traditional colors. I think turned out cute. I colored the image with prisma colored pencils. I didn't blend them with gamsol because I still can't find where I put it. AGH....

"Wild About You"

I found this paper on my outing this weekend. Isn't it fun? I really like the bright colors and the pattern is kinda cool too. I didn't make this for anyone special. I guess it is a just wanted to stamp card. I stamped the lion in Lovely Lilac first then again in Lavender Lace, then one more time in Lovely Lilac. I cut out the Lavender mane and glued it on the face, then cut out the Lilac face and glued it on the lion.

"Trick or Treat"

I hit my local stamp store today to get some more pattern paper. I found these two Hero Arts pumpkin stamps there with a cute card displayed. I tried to case it when I got home but I don't think it looks like the one I saw today but it is close. I cut the background paper out then stamped the pumpkins on that. Then I stamped the pumpkins on the striped paper and then cut them out and glued them on the ones that were stamped on the dotted paper. The stems are on the dotted paper and on the ones that I cut out. They match up so it looks pretty cool.
