Hey everyone!!! I am back to stamping....(again)I'm ok, thanks for the e-mails to check on me. I'll tell you what happened. Facebook sucked me in and I can't get out. I am sooooo hooked on Facebook, I have re-connected with people from high school that I haven't heard from or seen in 20 years and friends from my old jobs in MN. It's been real great. Also like many of you know, sports can take over as well. Tony is coaching Molly's T-Ball team and assistant coaching Sarah's softball. They both practice twice a week, but when the season starts they will only have one practice a week but games one to two times a week. I am so busy. I also have been named team photographer so I will be at most of their practices and games.
Ok, on to the card. This is one we made at stamp camp. I love the simplicity of it too. I am going to do this on in my next card class.

"Scor-Pal Meets Cuttlebug"
So, how is everyone today? I'm good. Sarah is still sick. Fever of 101 so she is staying home again today. Poor girl. She wants to go to school so bad. She just loves school. It is real hard to keep her home even when she is sick. I made this card the other day. Kinda different ha? Seriously, the pinks do match, the scan just made them look different. I used the Scor-Pal to make the three scor lines on the left of the card. Then I put the rest of the card front in the cuttlebug. I really love this swiss dots folder. I think it is my new favorite one. I can't remember the last time I made a white card either. I really like the pink and white together. It looks somewhat elegant don't-cha think? The greeting is a clear stamp that I have. I don't remember who makes it. Hope you all have a great day.
Stamps: Garden Silhouettes, Clear Stamps
Paper: Whisper White, Pretty In Pink
Ink: Pretty In Pink

"Lobster Card Kit"
I made these two card kits for a friend of mine the other day. She doesn't have these stamps so I know she will love it. Each kit has one sample of the completed card and the supplies to make two cards inside. This card is one of my favorites so I thought it was a good one to start with. I'm in the process of making a few more kits like this. They are fun to make.

"Gate Fold Card"
I had never heard of a gate fold card until I got my Scor-Pal. There are several different fold directions on the back of the packaging. It is a very cool looking card and fold. The challenge to keep it closed is the only tricky part. Some people close them with ribbon. I closed mine with magnetic closures from Basic Grey. They are thin enough to not bulk up the card. I hid one of them under the pattern paper and the other one is behind the scallop circle so when you close it is snaps closed.
You can get two of these cool cards with one sheet of card stock. Cut paper 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and score at 6 1/8 and 2 1/8 on the 8 1/2 inch side. So when it is closed it is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. I cuttlebugged the solid side of mine. Super cute ha? I thought it would add some dimension and it matches the dotted paper real nice.

"You Are My Sunshine"
I made this card this morning with my new embossing folder. It is called Swiss Dots. I love this one. The greeting is a Studio G clear stamp that I got from my friend Shelly from MN. I think it works great with this cute little birdie. Of course I had to add stickles on the flowers. I also didn't want to add a third color so I did the pink scallop and added the white dots to make it not so pink. You know what I mean. I also popped it up on thick foam dots to give it nice dimension. SU dimensionals just wouldn't cut it.
Stamps: Fun & Fast Notes, Studio G
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: Giga and Mega Scallop Punch, SU White Gel Pen, SU Markers, Foam Dots, Pink Organdy Ribbon, Stickles

"SC163 Hang In There!"
I haven't done a sketch challenge in a while. But I saw that Shelly (papermoon) was the guest sketcher this time. She is so sweet. She comments on all my stuff on SCS so I had to do her sketch. It wasn't easy to emboss the artichoke paper. It was too big for the machine. I managed to do it though and you can't tell that it is double embossed. I also sponged chocolate chip around the edges of the images and on the vanilla paper to soften it, cut out the bananas and popped some up with dimensionals. My card is 5 3/8 x 5 3/8 square. This was a fun one. I don't make the square cards very often even though I like them.
Stamps: Monkey Business, Stampendous
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla
Ink: Basic Black, Chocolate Chip, Summer Sun
Accessories: Sponges, Dimensionals, Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, Brown and Artichoke Gingham Ribbon, Cuttlebug, Embossing Folders, Distressing Tool, SU Markers

"Have A Great Day!"
I have a lot of cleaning to do today but I wanted to make a quick card before I start. The hubby is out of town for a few days so I am going to get the house and laundry done today so I don't have to do anything else while he is gone. Except for stamping of course and feed the kids. Man, I hope I don't forget to feed the kids. LOL. My friend Kristine gave me this stamped image a while ago and I found it last night and thought I would make a card with it today. I hope you all have a great day!
Stamps: Penny Black, Stampendous
Paper: Pixie Pink, Orchid Opulence, Gable Green, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: Cuttlebug, Embossing Folder, Distressing Tool, Purple Dotted Sheer Ribbon, Fiskers Scallop Scissors, SU Markers

"How's Everything In Your Bowl?"
Is this a cute stamp or what? I got it at my local stamp store. It was $1. Yeah one dollar!! It is a wood stamp like the dollar stamps at Michael's. It is made by Studio G. The same people that make the clear stamps. You can't really see it in the scan but I covered the fish bowl with crystal effects so it looks like water. Now who would have thought that bashful blue and only orange would go together? Certainly not me but I love it. It really looks sharp. Somewhat springy. We have had days and days of rain here so this card makes me almost forget how crappy the weather is.
Stamps: Studio G
Paper: Bashful Blue, Only Orange, Whisper White
Ink: Stazon Black
Accessories: Cuttlebug, Embossing Folder, Orange Brads, SU Markers, Crystal Effects, Tangerine Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals

"Stamp Class Cards"
These are 4 birthday cards for my stamp class. They will be making one of each. I know I have posted two of these before but I thought what a perfect card for them to make. I wanted to do a card that I could make different colors but the same design. This one seemed to pop into my head.

"Amethyst Christmas Snowflake"
Ok, I think I got it. This is not exactly what I had in mind but it totally works. Plus it is easy and pretty. Of course I had to add some stickles on the snowflakes and I just had to use the cuttlebug. I cut all my pieces out today and later tonight I will stamp, glitter, and put together. Whew! Talk about last minute.
Stamps: Snowflakes
Paper: Almost Amethyst, Walmart White
Ink: Almost Amethyst

"Quick Birthday Cards"
I needed a couple quick Birthday cards today. Tony's birthday was Friday and two people that he works with had birthdays a day before and after his. So I needed to make a quick card for them. One is a girl and one is a boy so I made the same card in different colors. You might remember I made the same coral/summer sun one last summer. I am going to make more of these to have on hand in different colors. Maybe some greens, pinks and red. I got the stamps at JoAnn's Stamps: Fiskers Clear Stamps
Paper: Night of Navy, Ballet Blue, Summer Sun, Cameo Coral, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: Cuttlebug, Embossing Folder, Blue and Yellow Brads, SU Markers, SU White Gel Pen, Yellow Stickles

"Tea For Two"
Here is the card that I came up with for the tea gift set that I am making. I really like how it came out. I broke out the sage shadow. I think I have used it once. I think, I'm not really sure. But I kinda like it. It goes pretty good with pretty in pink and barley banana. The tea cup stamp I borrowed, it is from PSX. This gift set is going to be cute. I added some dots around the scallop with the SU gel pen. It really pulled it together.
Stamps: Something To Celebrate, PSX
Paper: Sage Shadow, Pretty in Pink, Barley Banana, Whisper White
Ink: Stazon Black, Sage Shadow
Accessories: Cuttlebug, Embossing Folder, SU Markers, Silver Cord, Light Pink Grosgrain Ribbon, Giga and Mega Scallop Punch, SU Circle Punches

"Super Stickled Spinner"
I can't remember the last time I made a spinner card. I forgot how much fun they are. I colored the princess with markers then outlined the dress and the top of the crown with purple stickles. The wand has yellow stickles and I also added diamond stickles in the center of the flowers and the heart on the crown. Here are the directions for the spinner cards. I have a hard time coming up with colors that go with the purples. I used elegant eggplant and lavender lace and black. I like these colors together but I think her yellow hair doesn't really match like I wanted it to. Oh well. It is still super cute.
Stamps: Pretty Princess
Paper: Elegant Eggplant, Lavender Lace, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Elegant Eggplant
Accessories: Foam Tape, Pennies, Dimensionals, Stickles, SU Markers, Cuttlebug, Embossing Folders, Word Window, SU Circle Punches

"Out of Retirement"
I decided to get some of my stamps "Out of Retirement" I don't have many current sets but I have a lot of retired. I dusted off Fun Filled and came up with this. This was one of those cards that look better in your head than they do on paper. In my head I didn't have the primas. I liked the card but it needed something. So I set it aside and then it hit me. Primas! Perfect. Now I really like it. The black and white polka dot ribbon kinda makes a frame.
Stamps: Fun Filled, Stampendous
Paper: Pixie Pink, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink: Pixie Pink
Accessories: Black and White Dotted Ribbon, Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, Sponge, Cuttlebug, Embossing Folder, Primas, Pink Brads

"Harvest Mix"
I don't have anything new to post today. The only thing I had left in my folder is this card I made for the September VSN. One of the challenges was to make a card with harvest mix candy colors. I don't care for this card at all. I think there is too much orange. But just cause I don't like it doesn't mean you won't like it right? So this is what I am posting today.
Stamps: Stampendous, Small Script
Paper: Only Orange, Chocolate Chip, Summer Sun, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: Brown Dotted Sheer Ribbon, Cuttlebug, Embossing Folder, CM Cutting Tools, Giga Scallop Punch, SU Markers, SU Large and Small Oval Punch

"Bling Bling Birdie"
I really love Summer Sun. I think next to Celery, Summer Sun is my favorite color. It goes with practically everything. I have pared it up today with Ruby Red and Basic Black. I really like using black in my cards. It kind of makes the other colors pop. This birdie stamp I had wanted for months. I ended up getting it from my friend Shelly when I was in MN this summer. For this card, I colored the bird and added some bling on the tips of his tail. I mounted the image on a black oval that I dotted with the SU white gel pen. It matches the ribbon perfectly. For the background, I cuttle bugged two separate pieces and cut them in half and put one half of each on the card. I really like the look of the two different colors. The greeting is from the hostess set So Many Sayings punched out with the word window.
Stamps: So Many Sayings, Rhonda Farrer Clear Stamp
Paper: Ruby Red, Summer Sun, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: SU Markers, Bling, Dotted Ribbon, SU Gel Pen, Word Window, Cuttlebug, Embossing Folders, Ticket Corner Punch

"Friends Forever"
Here is a card I made last night. I think this little birdie is so cute. I put some bling in the center of the flower. The greeting is from the hostess set "So Many Sayings" It comes as a set of three. My demo gave it to me. She also had someone cut 17 wood blocks for me so I could cut them all out separate and have 34 stamps instead of just 3. What a sweetheart. I just love her. She is so good to me. I took a picture of them for you so you can see what I am talking about. It took me about two hours to cut them out and mount them but it is totally worth it.
Stamps: So Many Sayings, Fun & Fast Notes
Paper: Certainly Celery, Apricot Appeal, Regal Rose, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Regal Rose
Accessories: Cuttlebug, Giga and Mega Scallop Punch, SU Markers, SU Gel Pen, Celery Grosgrain, Bling, Word Window

"Just Be Claws"
I love this card. I think it is sooooo cute. I don't have this stamp. Kristine stamped it for me. I really want it. I think I have to get it. I brought back the cuttlebug. Did you miss it? LOL. I had this card design in my head for a while. I knew exactly how I was going to make this card. So I got done and I admired my cute card and went on with my day. Later I was looking at Kristine's SCS gallery and there was my card. Well, it was her card but it looked like mine. Actually mine looked like hers. That is why I had the idea in my head for this card. I had already seen it before. Man, I am such a dork. LOL Here is a link to Kristine's card.

"Happy Birthday for a Boy"
I thought I posted all the cards I made on vacation. But I found one more. I like this one for a little boy. I totally copied my friend Shelly's card. The stamps are from a clear set that she had. The stop sign punch with the greeting inside is a Creative Memories Punch. It is outlined with stickles, of course. There is also stickles on the three lights of the traffic light. Also the background is cuttlebugged with the embossing folder called traffic jam. How perfect is that.
Stamps: Clear stamps, Hero Arts
Paper: Brilliant Blue, Real Red, Green Galore, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: SU Markers, Stickles, Creative Memories Punch, Cuttlebug, Embossing Folders, Stamp-A-Ma-Jig
