"Belli Challenge # 43 Cord"

This weeks Belli Challenge is cord. Each week Chris gives us a challenge that uses things that we have lying around the house or a different technique. I love everything about this card except for the image. Which I guess is the most important part right? I wanted to use a different image but I couldn't find what I was looking for. Don't you hate that?

"Belli Challenge # 42 Gift Tags"

I'm back from MN. It was a nice visit but way too short. It was also super cold while I was there. I was there 4 days and it snowed several times. I left on Sunday morning and we had to board the plane outside on the tarmac. It was 27 degrees, cold and windy. I guess I don't remember that weather anymore. Why do I want to move back again??? LOL No, just kidding. I want to go back. I miss my family. I got to hang out with my 4 1/2 year old nephew who I have only seen like 10 times. He was so fun. We did get in trouble a few times and my sister even gave me a time out. Auntie Rochelle was acting like a 4 year old.

This week's Belli Challenge is gift tags. Mine are kind of lame, sorry. I haven't stamped in over a week and I just had no good ideas. I still have two packs of Cool Caribbean cardstock left and I love these colors together. I just might do more Christmas stuff with this color combo. If you are looking for gift tag ideas, check out what the other ladies on the team came up with.

"Belli Challenge # 40 Thanksgiving"

This weeks challenge is Thanksgiving. I love thanksgiving. I love to cook the dinner and have family around. Since we don't have family here in Cali we invite the single guy at my husband's work over every year. I don't have any Happy Thanksgiving greetings so I printed my greeting out on the computer in the SU Really Rust color.

"Belli Challenge #38-Clips"

What is a Belli Challenge you ask? Each week Chris Dickinson posts a challenge that will help us use things we have lying around our stamp rooms! You can find more information here. This weeks Belli Challenge is clips. I wasn't sure that I was going to do this challenge cause I don't have any clips lying around the house. But lucky me, at my friend's open house we did a project with ginormous paper clips. I made a book marker with mine. My oldest reads so fast that she probably doesn't need a book marker but I gave it to her anyway. (p.s. she read this book in 3 days)

Check out the different ways the other ladies on the design team used clips.

"Belli Challenge # 35 Metal Tags"

This weeks Belli Challenge is Metal Tags. You can find the challenge information here. For my card. I tore the basic black cardstock and added some gingham ribbon. Nothing special, pretty basic. My bow is actually a separate bow that I tied and glue dotted on to the ribbon. I am so bow challenged it isn't funny. The greeting is from Web Wishes, I just inked the Happy Halloween part with a SU black marker. I used the stamp-a-ma-jig to get it straight. I also used the stamp-a-ma-jig to put the image in the middle of the tag. Best invention ever for stampers I tell ya. If you don't have one and you are tired of crooked images, you should get one. I use mine every time I stamp. It's like my third hand. LOL

"Belli Challenge # 34 Hip To Be Square"

Today's Belli Challenge is making a card with squares. I thought I would keep it in the Halloween theme this week. This card was lots of work but it is super cute. This is another one we made in stamp camp. I appoligize for the crooked scan. I was in a hurry to get this posted this morning. I have one daughter home sick today and I have to go my other daughters field trip to the pulbic library. My husband came home from work to stay with Molly so I could go on the field trip. Wasn't that nice. He is busy cleaning and doing laundry. Woo Hoo. He should stay home more often. LOL Ok, gotta run or I will be late.

"Belli Challenge #31 Baubles & Bling"

This weeks Belli Challenge is a little different. Chris who is the founder of these Belli Challenges has her own stamps coming out September 1st, how cool is that!! She is designing for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Her first set is called Child of God. This is one of the images from her set. Chris was kind enough to send us all images for this weeks challenge. I used the "bling" to simulate stars in the sky.

"Belli Challenge #30-Coasters"

This weeks Belli challenge was coasters. You can find out more about it here. This was a super fun one for me. Seeing how school started this week, this will go to one of the teachers. I used the tutorial on SCS, you can find that here. This was basically an easy projet. The hardest part for me was punching the holes. I must have small hands cause my crop-a-dile was hard for me to use. I think I hate that thing. I never use it and when I do it is usually one or two holes not 40! I didn't use the mod podge on it either. I just glued the paper on. I decided to put some Hershey Kisses in a cello bag and tie it off with ribbon. I also put some paper shred in the bottom.

"Belli Challenge 29~Scallops"

This is what I came up with for this weeks Belli Challenge, which was scallops by the way, not martini's. LOL. You can find more info for this weeks challenge Here. I used a corner rounder to make a scalloped edge on the bottom of the card. I love how it looks. I can't wait until I get the SU scallop border punch. It will be a breeze to do these edges with it, that's for sure. The martini stamp on the background is a Studio G clear stamp and the big one is a Michael's $1 stamp. I also used scallops for the image and the mat. This was a fun card to make. I don't know who I am going to give it to but it was still fun to make.
Stamps: Studio G, Stampendous
Paper: Old Olive, Real Red, Whisper White
Ink: Stazon Black, Old Olive

"Belli Challenge #28~Contain Yourself"

This weeks Belli Challenge was containers. Tins, pails, jars etc... This was a fun one for me since I love to "contain" You can find out more info on this weeks Challenge here. I got this container, stamped images, and the Paper Trey paper from my friend Sara P for my birthday. The PTI solid paper matched the stripe paper that already had so I decided to use it. I love this tin. I don't know if I can give it away. These are soooo much fun to make. They hold 12 Hershey Nuggets. Check out what the other design team members have made this week. There are lots of great ideas out there.

"Belli Challenge #27-Birthday"

This weeks Belli Challenge is Birthday. Each week Chris posts a challenge You can find the info here.
I decided not to make a card this time. Although I might do one later. I like to make these and put them on the top of birthday presents. You can wrap them in the matching wrapping paper as well, which looks cool. I find the garland at Michael's for $1. They have a bunch of different colors and some shapes. I am going to do these as one of the 3D items for my upcoming stamp class. They are super easy and real fun. And there is the wow factor. People like em'

*I used a roll of lifesavers to make these. After I wrapped them, I tool my paper piercing tool and poked a hole in the top and shoved the garland into the hole.*

There are quite a few of us that do the challenge each week check out their blogs to see what they came up with for the challenge.

"Belli Challenge #25 Envelopes"

This weeks Belli Challenge is envelopes. What is a Belli Challenge you ask? Belli=Embellishments. You can find more info here.
For my envelope project I made a small gift bag. You can find the tutorial here. It was so easy to make. I didn't stamp on mine. I decided to add pattern paper instead. After I sealed the envelopes, I adhered the paper on and then cut out the notches for the handle. I filled them with paper shred and added some peppermint sammiches. I also made a tag for the front with the one I punched out to make the handle. Talk about recycling. LOL These would be quick gift card holders as well. Thanks for looking. You should check out the other ladies on the design team. They have some super cute projects using envelopes as well.

"Belli Challenge #22 ~ Paper Bags"

This weeks Belli Challenge is paper bags. Paper bag albums, gift bags, bagalopes, anything bags. I choose to make a paper bag gift bag. I hadn't made one before but I like how it turned out. Here is where you can find the info on this weeks challenge. I just took a giant lunch bag and cut it so it was 10 inches tall. Then I cut the paper 6 x 10 and adhered it to the bag. I folded the top down twice and closed it with ribbon. The paper is Bo Bunny, my favorite. This is super easy and super cheap way to package something small for someone special. You can personalize it anyway you want.

I punched out the scallop circle with the Marvy giga scallop circle and punched out holes in the scallops with a hand held punch. The circle was cut out with my creative memories cutting tools. Of course I had to add stickles on the image. I put them on the candles and on the "plate" that the cake sits on. I also added jeweled brads for some bling.
Stamps: Birthday Whimsy
Paper: Bo Bunny, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White
Ink: Tempting Turquoise
Accessories: Paper Bag, Stickles, Jeweled Brads, Hand Held Circle Punch, Giga Scallop Punch, CM Cutting Tools, 5/8 Inch Grosgrain Ribbon

"Belli Challenge #21 ~ Watercolor"

This weeks Belli challenge is watercolor. I don't have watercolor pencils or a aqua brush to do any watercolor so I used water color pencils and a blender pen. Oh duh! I just realized as I was typing this that I could have used the blender pen to watercolor with the ink refills. I guess I am a little slow this week. Oh well It turned out just fine anyway. You can find the challenge information on Chris's blog.

Paper: Always Artichoke, So Saffron, Whisper White, DP

"Belli Challenge #19- Gel Pens"

What is the Belli Challenge you ask? Belli = Embellishments. This weeks challenge is Gel Pens. Either white or another color. My friend Chris hosts a weekly embellishment challenge. To read more about it you can go here. For this weeks challenge I decided to get inspired by the gel pen queen herself, Faith Hofrichter also known as Markie's Mom on SCS. She outlines everything in white or black dots. I didn't think that was really my style but I really like the card I made and maybe I will do this again since it looks pretty cool. I don't want to go overboard though. I can totally see how that can happen. I was getting a little dizzy too while I was making dots, maybe I should have had a margarita while I was making it, the tequila would have canceled out the double vision that I was getting from the dots. LOL
Stamps: Stampendous
Paper: Basic Black, Real Red, Whisper White
Ink: Stazon Black

"Belli Challenge #18- Piercing"

What is the Belli Challenge you ask? Belli = Embellishments. This weeks challenge is paper piercing. I came up with this one last minute. I really like the colors and how the over all card turned out. My friend Chris hosts a weekly embellishment challenge. To read more about it you can go here. I used my last piece of turquoise paper for this card so I have to get some more since I still have two packs of East Coast Prep DP and I love love love the colors in it. Check it out. For the "scalloped edge" I punched small circles using the SU 1/2 inch circle punch (the one that is the same size as the little pieces stamps) and glued them on the back of the paper so when you turn it around it looks like a scalloped edge. Clever ha?
Stamps: True Friend, Warmest Regards
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Real Red, Whisper White, East Coast Prep DP
Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Real Red
Accessories: Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Dimensionals, SU Scallop Punch, SU Circle Punches, Turquoise 5/8 inch Grosgrain Ribbon.

"Belli Challenge #17- Die Cuts"

What is the Belli Challenge you ask? Belli = Embellishments. My friend Chris hosts this challenge every week. This is my first time participating. This weeks challenge is Die Cuts. Here is where you can go to get more info.
For this card I decided to use nestibilities. I don't have any but my friend Kristine cut some out for me. I am seriously thinking about getting some. I really like them. I also paper pieced this Bella's outfit. I stamped her on the polka dot paper for her shirt and then again on the reverse side for her pants, then cut them both out and glued them on the stamped image. Instant outfit!
Stamps: Stamping Bella, Hero Arts
Paper: Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, East Coast Prep DP
Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Stazon Black
Accessories: Nestibilities, SU Scallop Punch, SU Circle Punches, Turquoise Grosgrain Ribbon, SU Markers

I decided to to two cards for this challenge. I don't know the colors of the butterflies. My friend Shelly sent them to me like forever ago. I totally forgot that I had them. They are all on shimmer paper though which is super cool. I embossed the greeting from Hero Arts cause I thought it matched the gray paper better than if I inked the greeting on the paper or made the greeting and matted it on the card.
