"Belli Challenge # 43 Cord"

This weeks Belli Challenge is cord. Each week Chris gives us a challenge that uses things that we have lying around the house or a different technique. I love everything about this card except for the image. Which I guess is the most important part right? I wanted to use a different image but I couldn't find what I was looking for. Don't you hate that?

"Baby On Board"

So, yesterday I had someone unsubscribe from my blog. When you do that, they give you options to pick why you unsubscribed. She picked "too many updates" Hello!! Correct me if I am wrong, but don't you subscribe to a blog to get e-mail updates when they post something new? Isn't that the whole reason to subscribe to a blog? I just had to laugh.
My friend Angie from MN called me the other day to tell me that her and her husband are expecting their first child in February. I met Angie when I was pregnant with my first almost 14 years ago. I am so happy for her. She has been married almost two years now and now they are starting a family. Congrats Ang! I had to make her a card with my new Bella that I got from my friend Carrie. Thanks Carrie for the Bella, it is coming in handy already.
I like the jeweled brads but I think they are too close. And what would a card be with out stickles? Boring! LOL I think I have a problem with stickles. I just love them sooooo much.

"Clickabella"

I am kinda busy today but I took a little break to make a card. My friend Carrie gave me some new Bella's for my birthday. I got this one, which is clickabella, teddybella (the pregnant bella) and huggybella. The paper I used for this card is Bo Bunny. That is my favorite brand of paper. I love everything they come out with. This paper is double sided and the reverse is the same colors but polka dots. I know there isn't a greeting on this card and this time I did it on purpose. LOL Tonight is family fun Friday so no stamping for me until the kids go to bed. We got rented a movie, got some movie candy, and a couple of the blockbuster tubs of popcorn. Every Friday for family night we either play board games or have movie night. The kids love it and it is at least one night that we all are together. I hope you all have a great weekend.

"Congratulations Graduate"

My neighbor came over the other day and we stamped while the kids were in school. We had a great time. She cased my lobster card only I was out of real red paper and waiting for my order to come. Of course Brown came as soon as she got the card done. Go figure ha? Anyway, she used brocade blue, white and black. It looked super cool. Then she decided to make a graduation card with the same colors. It was awesome. So I decided to case her case of my case. LOL I don't know anyone graduating but if I need a card for a girl I've got one. Don't cha love these colors together? I love using black cause it just makes the other colors pop.

"Belli Challenge #17- Die Cuts"

What is the Belli Challenge you ask? Belli = Embellishments. My friend Chris hosts this challenge every week. This is my first time participating. This weeks challenge is Die Cuts. Here is where you can go to get more info.
For this card I decided to use nestibilities. I don't have any but my friend Kristine cut some out for me. I am seriously thinking about getting some. I really like them. I also paper pieced this Bella's outfit. I stamped her on the polka dot paper for her shirt and then again on the reverse side for her pants, then cut them both out and glued them on the stamped image. Instant outfit!
Stamps: Stamping Bella, Hero Arts
Paper: Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, East Coast Prep DP
Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Stazon Black
Accessories: Nestibilities, SU Scallop Punch, SU Circle Punches, Turquoise Grosgrain Ribbon, SU Markers

I decided to to two cards for this challenge. I don't know the colors of the butterflies. My friend Shelly sent them to me like forever ago. I totally forgot that I had them. They are all on shimmer paper though which is super cool. I embossed the greeting from Hero Arts cause I thought it matched the gray paper better than if I inked the greeting on the paper or made the greeting and matted it on the card.

"Flowahbella"

Hey everyone, how are y'all doing today? I am great!! I decided to change the background of my blog. I really liked the black because it made everything POP, but I have had several readers (and my husband) say that it hurts their eyes. I decided to change it to a white background and I will most likely change the background of the cards too. So what do you think?
My friend Kristine gave me a ginormous box of pattern paper and I found both of these in there. I stamped the Bella on the celery pattern paper and cut the dress out and pieced them on. Super easy and I love how it looks. The white actually came embossed with the dots. How cool is that? I got the celery 5/8 inch ribbon at the fabric barn. I really am lovin' the 5/8 inch ribbon. And of course I had to add stickles on the flowers. Don't-cha love stickles? I didn't put a greeting on this card. I will wait until I am going to use it and then put one on. I find that works good for me. I hope you all have a great day and I will see you tomorrow with a treat box for Hershey kisses.

"Enjoy Your Day"

My neighbor came over yesterday and we made a few cards. It was so fun. I didn't get as many cards done as she did cause I had to keep getting up to do things for the kids. But it was still a productive day for me. I found this paper at my local stamp store the other day and I knew I was going to use it with a Bella. I paper pieced her bags with the paper cause when I colored them it just didn't look right. I totally love how it looks. I found the giant flower last summer on clearance at Joann's for a quarter. Good thing I held on to it for eight months. LOL

"Kick It!"

I want to do the weekly SCS challenges but I find I just don't have time. So I pick and choose which ones I do. I thought this one was kinda cool. It is SC158 a kick stand card. It isn't a real good picture of it. I was kinda in a hurry but you get the idea. I wanted to use a Bella cause it seemed to be the perfect size. I used my new one that I got from my friend Kristine. Thanks Kristine!!

Here is a close up look at the card. I stickled the pom poms and the bows in her hair. I also paper pieced her skirt.

"You Go Girl"

I didn't do much stamping this weekend. This is one that I made last month. The Bella image I got from Kristine. The greeting is a $1 stamp from Michael's and the paper I got at my local stamp store. I don't know who makes it. I put pink brads in the center of the primas. I hope to do some stamping this week.

"Have a Great Day"

I decided to make a manly card today. You never know when you are going to need one. I colored this one with SU markers and the paper is from a die cut with a view stack. I also broke out my photo corner punch. I don't really like it but it needed something and ribbons and stickles were out of the question. Looking at it now, I think it needed brads. Also the card isn't crooked, it is my scan. I also used the Gelly Roll glitter pen for the ice in the cooler.

"Tee-rific Birthday"

I made this card for my husband's aunt. She is totally into golf. Something I can't do. I got the Bella image from Kristine and the greeting I made on the computer. I colored her with markers and matted the image three times to match the paper. Which is Bo Bunny. My new favorite paper. I know she will like it. They live on a golf course and golf seven days a week.

"Friends Forever"

I am love with the Bo Bunny paper. I bought like 6 pieces the other day. I didn't even realize that it is double sided until I made two cards. Duh. Now I love it even more. I put some bling in the center of the primas and one on the flower in her hair. I colored the image with prisma colored pencils but I didn't blend them with Gamsol. I would have but I misplaced it. I got this Bella image from my friend Kristine. She is so good to me. This card is for you Kristine. I met her through a yahoo group a couple years ago. She lives about 6 hours from me. We have gotten together a couple times to stamp and I am going to her house next month for Splitcoast's VSN (virtual stamp night) I can't wait. I haven't done one before so I am excited.

"Layout Challenged"

I made this card last night, it took me almost two and a half hours. Seriously. Here's why. I got some new paper yesterday and I couldn't wait to make a card with it. I knew that I wanted to use this Bella image that I got from Kristine with my new paper. Here is the problem. I am very layout challenged. I seem to make the same layouts over and over. Which is fine, but I would like to do something different once in a while. Ya know, mix it up a little. Why didn't I just go to SCS and look at some of the past sketch challenges? I really wanted to but my husband was on the computer and my lap top isn't connected to the Internet. So I sat here cutting out pieces, putting them on, not liking them and changing them around. Then I took a break or two, got back to my card. Here is what I came up with. Today we are going to Best Buy and getting wireless Internet connection for the laptop. Woo Hoo!!! So, tonight while I am trying to think of a good layout, I can go to the laptop and look at some past challenges. I can't wait.

"I got Happy Mail"

My mail was sitting in my mail box for 4 days. Someone snapped a key off in my lock and I couldn't get to my mail. The mail carrier came by yesterday and brought me a ton of mail and what was mixed in with all the junk and bills? Two very cool Bella RAK's. I got this first one from Kristine. It was jam packed with stamped Bella images. I couldn't wait to tear into it. I knew they were in there and it was just killing me that I couldn't get into my mail box. Thank you soooooo much Kristine. I can't wait to play. Isn't her card so cute? She made it from her monthly kit that she gets from Papperpretties. Kristine is also one of their design team members. Way to go Kristine. They sure knew what they were doing when they choose you.

This very cool Blogger RAK I got from the talented Susanna Boyd over at Barefoot Stamper. I love her card. She stamped the images on pattern paper and cut them out and glued them on to their dresses. What a very cool look. Great colors and great card. I love the paper she used and the colors are beautiful. Thank you Susanna for thinking of me and sending me this great card.

"Smile and Say Hello"

Here is another card I made on vacation. I almost posted them all. I think I have three left. Then I guess I will have to start making cards again. I haven't stamped since we got back. Well, I did one SCS challenge but that is it. I hope to stamp this weekend. I need to get a jump start on class room treats for Halloween and Christmas. I have a kindergartner and a first grader. So I will be making 40 total of what ever I plan to do. Uff da. (Minnesotan slang) LOL

"Opposites Attract"

Here are a couple more Bella’s that I made on vacation. I don’t have this Bella, I got the image from my friend Kristine. I think this chick looks so crabby. I just had to use the greeting “Have a nice day” I thought it was funny. When I made these cards, I first colored the images. I didn’t know which one I was going to go with so I decided to use both and make the cards opposite. I really like the celery one the best. The banana one is cute too but the celery one is way cuter. There is also stickles on her slippers but you can’t see it in the scan.

"Enjoy Your Day"

I haven't posted a Bella in a while. Here are two that I made that are kinda opposite. I like the first one but the second one bugs me. I think it is the squares. I should have done it in orange and red. I think that would have looked better. The greeting stamp is a clear one from Michael's. The funky squares are a Cuttlebug die cut. I love it but haven't figured out what to do with it yet. It is almost the weekend. I can't wait. I don't know how much stamping I will get done beacuse we are cleaning the garage this weekend, but I love the weekend. So enjoy your day ladies. Eat some bon bons and have a martini. LOL

"Bling Bling Bella"

I love the look of this card. I found the bling at Archiver's and I thought I would use it on this card. I cuttlebugged the background and colored the image with SU Markers. I also had to use my black dotted ribbon. I just love it. I think the card turned out great. I made this one while I was on vacation in MN. The greeting stamp is from Hero Arts. It is from a 6 pack of greeting stamps.

"Shop Till You Drop"

I got a new Bella. Emmybella. Isn't she cute? The paper is from the DCWV summer stack. I just love that paper. I colored her with markers and used the Gelly Roll glitter pen on the cuff of her pants and on the top of them. I really love that pen. I also used the SU white gel pen and made stripes on her shirt and dots on her bag. I tried to make a cute purse but it didn't turn out like I wanted but oh well. I got the primas from my friend Kristine and I used a jeweled brad for the center. Once again, no greeting. Seriously, I should stamp that first, then it will always be there.
