I ended up finding the candles at the Dollar Tree but they weren't the ones I was looking for. I didn't want the pillar ones, I wanted the ones with a flat top cause I wanted to wrap them with ribbon. Oh well, they still worked. Remember paint prints? I like to use this set for the candles. I think that is pretty much all I use that set for anymore. My class went great. They all had fun. We kinda ran out of time and went over a half hour. But everyone got all the cards done so that was good. The card with all the word window punches tripped a lot of people up so next time I will either leave the off the "extras" or have them punched already for them. It is still a learning process for me as far as timing goes. Yesterday I bought a cuttlebug so now I don't have to use my sizzix anymore. Be prepared to see a lot of cards with the embossing folders again. I can't wait to play with it. I also got a new embossing folder and I can't wait to use it. Here are the directions for the stamped candles.

"Rub-On Candle"

So, I tried rub-ons for the first time at stamp camp last weekend. Can you say FUN!!! I didn't want to stop. We made two cards with rub ons (which I will share tomorrow) and I rubbed on a Starbucks Frap bottle, and this candle. Let me tell you, I thought I would never try them, I didn't think they would look cool and they would be too much work. I was wrong. They do look cool and they aren't too much work. They are super easy.
Now I wish I would have got some with my sale-a-bration stuff. I guess I will just have to buy some now.

"Basketball Stamped Candle"

Here are the stamped candles I made for the gift set. These are super fun. Here are the directions from splitcoast. I do mine a little different though. I don't cut out my images on the tissue paper. I measure my tissue paper to go around the candle, then stamp on it. Then I get a piece of wax paper. I wrap the stamped tissue paper around the candle and then wrap the wax paper around that. Then pull it tight around the candle and heat it with the heat gun. You can use solid stamps like I did or you can do out lined stamps and color them with markers. I get my candles from the dollar tree. I think I am going to do a stamped candle in my next parks and rec class.

"Stamped Candle"
Here is a candle that I stamped for VSN. I stamped the tissue paper and then colored it with markers. Then I wrapped it around the candle and wrapped wax paper around that and heated it with my heat gun. If you haven't made one of these you have to try it. They are so fun. You can either stamp solid stamps or outlined stamps and color them with markers. If you stamp with solid stamps you might want to wait a minute before you heat it so that the ink can dry so it doesn't run. I made a few mistakes when I started making these. I get my candles at the dollar store. You can find the directions here for the stamped candles.
