"Cupcake Cards"

Woo Hoo I'm back. I found these cute cupcake cards while blurffing a while back and I thought they were super cute. I just had to make them. I am going to do more with different paper and make them into a gift set for the teachers. I wanted to use the Bella Rose paper or something more pink but my paper is in my bedroom and Tony was sleeping, I didn't want to wake him up to get paper. I can't wait to see what it looks like in pinks. I found these on Linsey Rickett's blog. Outside The Lines. She is super talented and has an assortment of shaped cards. Here is the link to the pattern. I just printed them out on copy paper and cut out the pattern and traced it on the pattern paper.

Here is a close up of one of the cupcakes. I used turquoise, diamond and crystal stickles on the tops for decoration. I know right, super cute.

"MIA??"

What happened to me? Where have I been? I haven't stamped in like four days. I know, I can't believe it myself. I don't know what's wrong with me. Ok, I do know what it is. I discovered facebook. I am super hooked on it. I can't seem to get off of it. It just sucked me in. I found friends that I haven't seen or heard from in like 20 years. It is so nice to get back in touch with them.

I am stamping today though. I am starting to go through serious stamping withdrawals. I NEED TO GET INKY!!!!!

"Belli Challenge # 35 Metal Tags"

This weeks Belli Challenge is Metal Tags. You can find the challenge information here. For my card. I tore the basic black cardstock and added some gingham ribbon. Nothing special, pretty basic. My bow is actually a separate bow that I tied and glue dotted on to the ribbon. I am so bow challenged it isn't funny. The greeting is from Web Wishes, I just inked the Happy Halloween part with a SU black marker. I used the stamp-a-ma-jig to get it straight. I also used the stamp-a-ma-jig to put the image in the middle of the tag. Best invention ever for stampers I tell ya. If you don't have one and you are tired of crooked images, you should get one. I use mine every time I stamp. It's like my third hand. LOL

"Friday's shoe Box Swap Cards 3"

This is Carrie's other shoebox swap card from Friday night. Is it gorgeous or what? I love the colors and I love the layout. We stamped the flowers in tangerine and punched them out, then used a marker to ink up the middle of the flower and punched that out and popped it up on dimensionals. I think I am going to have to get this set. You could use this layout and use any color combo and it would look great.

"Friday's shoe Box Swap Cards 2"

Here are two of the cards that my friend Carrie came up with for her shoe box swap on Friday. I love how simple they are. And the colors she picked are wonderful. We were only supposed to make two projects for the swap. Carrie is kinda like me. Tries to do what you are supposed to do but ends up doing more. She had us make one of each of these cards AND she brought another card and we made two of those. (I will post that one tomorrow) So we made 4 cards for her shoebox. Thanks Carrie!

"Wylde Women Award"

I was awarded the Wylde Woman Award this morning by De. She said that my blog was the first and only blog that she visited when she started blogging. Thanks for the compliment De. And thanks for the award. I would like to nominate all my readers for this award. You are all Wylde Women and I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you.

"Friday's shoe Box Swap Cards"

Friday night My friend Carrie and I went to our friend Jamie's house to do a shoe box swap. It was sooooo fun and she has a real cute apartment. We had pizza, salad and apple pie. Lots of talking and we made cute cards. These are the two cards that Jamie came up with. This first one is with the Ronald McDonald stamp set Say It With Scallops. I like that she picked one elegant card and one cutsie card.

I know I am not the only one who thinks that sock monkey's are creepy. LOL I do like the card and the sock monkey doesn't freak me out as much as the real thing. We colored the image with the real color pencils. I hadn't used them before and I really liked them. Very cool. We colored the chipboard square with the ink pad and dyed the flower from the pretties kit with the pink pirouette ink pad. Thanks Jamie for hosting the get together. I had a great time and can't wait to do it again.
Stamps: Say It With Scallops, Sock Monkey, Sock Monkey Accessories, Michael's $1 Happy Halloween Greeting
Paper: Bravo Burgundy, Parisian Summer DP, Creamy Carmel, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla

Accessories: Chipboard, Pretties Kit, Burgundy Grosgrain Ribbon, Old Olive Brads, Real Color Pencils

"Fisherman Birthday"

So Kristine came over today. I did talk a lot and didn't get much done. Just like I thought would happen. She was here for 5 hours and I made these three cards in the last 20 minutes. Oh well. At least this time I got something accomplished. Even if it was only three cards. I used Kristine's Martha Stewart border punch for these cards. I am so getting one of these. It really makes the card. Ya know, gives it a little texture.
Before I made my "three" cards, I did do some prepping for my two shoebox swaps for tonight's stamping session. My shoebox swap is the mint boxes and the clear envelope candy purses. I like to do items rather than cards. Have a great weekend everyone.

"Wild About You"

Molly is home sick again. I tell ya, those little ones are so demanding when they are sick. LOL She is getting a lot of rest. I wish I could have taken a nap along with her but not today. This card was made last year in my stamp camp. I didn't have anything fresh to post today cause I am busy cleaning and finishing up laundry. Tomorrow my friend Kristine is in town and is coming over to stamp all day. Woo Hoo! I haven't seen her since Stamp Mania last April. I kind of have a feeling Kristine will be stamping, I usually do a lot of talking and don't get much done. Then tomorrow night I am going to stamp with two of my other friends. We are going to each do a shoe box swap with two projects each. It should be fun. I haven't had an all day all night stamp fest in forever. I can't wait. Have a great day ladies.

"Belli Challenge # 34 Hip To Be Square"

Today's Belli Challenge is making a card with squares. I thought I would keep it in the Halloween theme this week. This card was lots of work but it is super cute. This is another one we made in stamp camp. I appoligize for the crooked scan. I was in a hurry to get this posted this morning. I have one daughter home sick today and I have to go my other daughters field trip to the pulbic library. My husband came home from work to stay with Molly so I could go on the field trip. Wasn't that nice. He is busy cleaning and doing laundry. Woo Hoo. He should stay home more often. LOL Ok, gotta run or I will be late.

"Boo!!"

Is this cute or what? We made a this card in my stamp camp last year. Cased from SCS. I decided to make it again this year to send to my nephew. I am also going to do this one in my class next month cause it is so dang funny. The card is Sahara Sand the "wraps" are Confetti Cream. I put some black paper down on the card front and then tore paper to make it look like bandages and sponged the edges and the paper to make it look dirty, adhered it to the card around the black paper and added the googlie eyes.

Paper: Sahara Sand, Basic Black, Confetti Cream
Ink: Basic Black, Sahara Sand

"Halloween Witch"

I am a little late posting today. My routine got messed up this morning. Tony didn't have to go into work today until 12:30 so he was home this morning. Man does that really mess things up. I never know what to do when he is home. He says just pretend I'm not here. Yeah, I can do that. NOT!
It's not too early for Halloween cards right? I am thinking of doing this card in my upcoming stamp class at the parks and rec. I can't wait for this class. I love doing classes around holiday's. Especially Halloween. It is such a fun holiday. Lots of treat items and fun cards. I can't wait.
Stamps: Booglie Eyes, Happy Everything Everyday Flexible Phrases, Canvas

"Muirfield Birthday"

The new designer paper Muirfield is so perfect for those guy cards that are hard to make. This card started out as a "masculine" card but for some reason I felt the need to add some primas. I don't know why I do that. I guess I don't have many cards to send to guys so I tend to make all girl cards. But at least I tried on this one right? LOL I used a corner rounder for the scalloped edge and added some dots in the scallops with a gel pen. Have a great weekend everyone!
Stamps: Happy Everything
Paper: Pacific Point, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Muirfield DP
Ink: Pacific Point, Old Olive

"Clear Envelope Candy Purse"

Today is my 15th wedding anniversary. I can't believe it, 15 years. WOW! We don't exchange gifts for our anniversary, we usually just go out to dinner. However, a couple years ago Tony took me to Napa Valley and we stayed in a bed and breakfast, went out to dinner, and in the morning he took me hot air ballooning. It was super cool. But this year we are going out to dinner as a family. The kids like to go out to dinner and we don't do it too often so that's our plan.

These candy purses are so fun to make. They are made out of SU's clear envelopes. I know right, how cool is that! You can put anything in them. I picked Hershey Miniatures. The are pretty easy to make too. This is a picture of the purse opened so you can see where to put the Velcro Dots. Here is a video tutorial on how to make these cute clear envelope candy purses.
Stamps: Tag Time
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss, Whisper White, Bella Rose DP, Sweet Always DP, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Ruby Red, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip (I don't have the all of the new IN Colors but the olive and ruby red matched pretty good for this project)
Accessories: Grosgrain Ribbon, Scallop Punch, SU Circle Punches, SU Clear Envelope, Red Grosgrain Ribbon, Scor-Tape, Velcro Dots, Rectangle Hand Held Punch, Candy, Creative Memories Cutting Tools

"Orange These Cute?"

Get it? "Orange" these cute? I know, I know, I'm "punny" Ok, I couldn't help it. But it is "punny" I saw some one make these before and I thought they were super cute. So I had to make them too. I printed off the greeting from the computer. I used the font size 14 if you want to make them too. I stamped the orange and then went over the sections with orange stickles. Where would I be with out stickles? I love that stuff. Greatest invention evea!!!! I bought a bag of the orange slices and that was enough for 10 baggies. Ok, it was enough for 11 bags but I ate 4. I can't remember the last time I had one of these candies. My dad eats them all the time and I can see why. They are delicious. Teachers and office staff are getting these today.
I get my Ziploc baggies at Joanns. They come in a 100 pack for $1.49. They are the 3 x 4 size. The bag topper is 4 x 3 1/4 scored in half so it is 3 1/4 x 2. I usually do a mat but since these were only one color I didn't but if you did want a mat the mat would be 1 7/8 x 3 1/8 and the stamped piece would be 1 3/4 x 3
These measurements also work with the small SU cello Bags. I just like the Ziploc baggies better.
Stamps: Tart And Tangy
Paper: Only Orange, Whisper White
Ink: Only Orange
Accessories: Ziploc Baggie, Silver Brads, Stickles, Sponge, Orange Slice Candies

"Chocolate Box"

I made this cute box last night after the kids went to bed. It can hold peppermint sammiches, Ghirardelli Chocolates, jewelry, or what ever you want to put in it. I didn't have any Ghirardelli Chocolates so I used my ol' stand by peppermint sammiches. I didn't choose the best stamp for it either but it was the only one I had out at the time so I used them so I could show you.

I had an interview this morning for a job!!! Woo Hoo!! I applied for a "lunch lady" job through the school system. The hours are perfect so I won't have to have any day care and it gets me out of the house for a few hours and making some money. (to buy stamps of course) I won't know anything for a few weeks but it sounded like I am going to get it. So I guess I have 2-3 more weeks of day time stamping left. LOL All my kids are in school all day now, I need to get out and do something so I don't go crazy.
Here is where you can find the link to the directions for this box. I made the smaller one because I didn't have any 12 x 12 solid cardstock. I made mine with her directions but it didn't look right to me so I changed them up a little and cut my paper 4 x 8 1/2
Stamps: True Friend
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White, Bella Rose DP
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Ticket Corner Punch, Scor-Pal, White Grosgrain Ribbon, SU Scallop Punch, SU Circle Punches, Hero Arts Pearl Bling, York Peppermint Patties, Glue Dots, Scor Tape

"Case Of A Case Of A Case"

I cased this card from my friend Kristine who cased it from SCS. I couldn't come up with anything my own so I cased a case. LOL I like the layout on this one and I like the colors. I think this could be made with any color combo and look good. I added stickles on the flowers but you can't really see them. Simply Said is a set that I had to have but don't use too often. I don't know why cause I really like this set and I have seen some super cute cards with it. I have a lot to do today, lots of cleaning from the weekend and Monday is my laundry day. So I am going to get to work so I can have some time later to stamp. Hope you all have a great day.

"Are You Ready For Some Football"

I am taking the day off from stamping today, I'm gonna watch the game. Well, 8 games actually. LOL. We got a new 50 inch plasma TV and Bose sound system last weekend. We are HUGE football fans at the Wick household. Maybe after the games I will stamp something but for right now I am at the game.

"Flap Card"

I have always wanted to give these flap cards a try. I found the directions on Splitcoast. Mine didn't' turn out like I wanted it to but I like them and they're cute. I'm such a dork, I wasn't paying attention when I was making these cause I used the SU scallop punch instead of using my Marvy punch to make it bigger. Oh well. For the rounded top, I don't have a Coluzzle, so I used my creative memories cutting tools. I think a Coluzzle would have worked a lot better. It was hard to line up mine to get it even on both sides. To close these I used 1/4 of a Velcro dot instead of the magnet closures. So I guess I didn't follow the directions at all. LOL

"M&M Pull Up"

I made these M&M pull ups this morning for the teachers. I love making these. They are time consuming, but the WOW factor when you give them away makes it all worth it. I have included printable directions for you but if you want a copy to save on your computer, e-mail me and I will send it to you. Be careful, they are addicting. LOL
Stamps: Little Pieces, Hero Arts Greeting

Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Regal Rose, Certainly Celery, Rose Red
Accessories: Scor Pal, White Grosgrain Ribbon, Hand Held 1/4 Hole Punch, Hand Held Rectangle Punch, Corner Rounder, M&M's

Like always, if you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me. I hope to do some more great projects this weekend and just hang out. Hope you all have a great weekend too. Happy Stamping!!

"Mint Boxes"

I made these cute little boxes the other day and was trying to figure out what to put in them. I tried two peppermint patty sammiches and they fit perfectly. Woo Hoo!! The boxes are super easy to make too. Cut card stock for the bottom 4 x 4 and score 1 & 1/16 inch all around. Cut pattern paper for the lid 3 x 3 score 1/2 inch all around. For the lid I took a 1 3/8 square punch and punched out the center. Because of this size cover, you can put the punch in all the way and it will be perfectly centered. I cut the acetate for the middle insert 2 x 2. Adhere the acetate to the underside of the lid then cut the flaps on the top and bottom and put it together to form a box and lid. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. LOL
Here is a link to the directions as well.

"Belli Challenge #32 Back To School"

I am cheating a little on this weeks challenge. I misplaced my school stamps and I had to use a picture from last year. I was going to make this anyway so it kind of counts right?? LOL I love making these for the teachers. I know they get so many "teacher" gifts but these are things that they can really use. "Bella Box"

I found the pattern for this box in my things to do file. I thought it would be a perfect box to hold cards. Turns out that this box isn't wide enough to fit a card. So I will be filling it with goodies instead. I think I will adjust the measurements to make it fit cards cause it is really cute. When I do that I will post the new dimensions. I also don't have the riding hood red or kiwi kiss ink so for the rose and leaves I just used ruby red and certainly celery, it looks practically the same. So it all worked out. I really love the look of this box. I am definitely going to get more of the Bella Rose DP. It is fabulous!
Stamps: Roses in Winter
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White, Bella Rose DP
Ink: Ruby Red, Certainly Celery
Accessories: Chocolate 5/8 Grosgrain Ribbon, Giga and Mega Scallop Punch
