Woo Hoo!!! Were you all going nuts waiting for me to post the next blog candy for the week? I was too cause I wasn't sure which one I was going to do today so while I was deciding I ran some errands. Today I am giving away 2 of the new embossing folders. Floral Fantasy and Distressed Stripes. If you don't have a Cuttlebug but you do have a Sizzix you can use that to emboss. I just recently got the Cuttlebug but before that I used my Sizzix. You have to get the converter kit for the Sizzix though before you can emboss. They cost around $14. You can get them at Michael's or Joanns or try your local stamp store. That is where I found mine. The converter kit is a magnet that adds height to the part that comes down on the dies. My friend Kristine did a tutorial on how it works. You can find it here.

ReplyDeleteHere's a little tidbit, you dont need any machine to use the cuttlebug folders, just a rolling pin. Roll on it real hard with a rolling pin just like you would with dough.

ohhhh ohhhh ohhhh!!!!! I just ordered (and received my cuttlebug BUT I have NOTHING to use in it yet! Only the machine fit into my budget (and I got it at a REALLY GOOD PRICE)... I REALLY NEED these so I can play with it!!!!

Happy Wednesday Rochelle!!! I LOVE my Cuttlebug! I've only had it 3 weeks, but I'm already VERY fond of it!! MY DSS sent me the new Swiss Dots folder and the Distressed Stripes folder and a REALLY cool card she made using them! BUT, just 'cause I have the Stripes doesn't mean I don't want to WIN!!! The Cuttlebug was one of the first things I bought when I began card making a little over a year ago. I have several of the folders but don't have these two so sure hope I win!
ReplyDeleteI got the Cuttle bug from my family for Christmas and I "LOVE IT" (said in my best Jim Carey voice)!!!! I especially loved it at Valentine's Day when I had to crank out 160 valentines cards - of 6 differnt designs- for my six daughters to hand out!! And it came in handy for the 100th day of school celebration as well!

My computer caught some horrible viruses...a lot of horrendous viruses a month or so ago. I couldn't get rid of them...so I had to erase the entire hard drive and start over. Luckily, I only lost 2 things...my bookmarked favorites and my address book for all my contacts...phone numbers and snail mail, etc.

I forgot on #2 to mention my favorite tool. Since I just got a cuttlebug, I would say it is my favorite right now. It would be great to win some folders for it.

I haven't had much opportunity to play with it....but am looking forward to creating lots of cool stuff. visit your blog daily to see what clever things you have come up with. Just a note: I bought 24 cans of fruit from Sam's to try the wonderful favors for a shower I'm giving... and had to hide them lest my DH open them from the WRONG side! LOL. My "Something".... hmmm. what to tell. It would have to be that we went on a cruise for our honeymoon, 16 years ago, and got given SINGLE BUNK BEDS! That was hysterical - NOT. The fact that we also both got violently ill with seasickness was also NOT hysterical!

ReplyDeleteMy husband bought be the sizzix just before the cuttlebug was big. Then he got me the cricket and the sizzix just sat there. Now, with the embossing folders, I actually use my sizzix again.

ReplyDeleteCuttlebug folders!! Yeah!!!! I love these things! For such a small/inexpensive toy, they add a huge plus to projects! So here's my thing to tell you...having a maid is totally overrated...Looking at your beautiful, clean house is much more gratifying when you've cleaned it yourself! Plus maids never do everything "just the way you like it"! At least this is what I keep telling myself to make it all better, lol!

Kathy from Fayetteville NC. This is a true Laundry story. Harley, one of my four legged, hairy children, has about 5 "babies" that he carries around. They were getting a little dirty so I picked them all up and put them in the washer. Harley Man set by the washer and dryer until they were done washing and drying. How funny.

What can this tired mom say at the end of a long week of work, driving kids to and from activities, and finishing another preschool year? How about that my youngest finished her last year of preschool and now she is declaring herself an official kindergartener. Why do they have to grow up so fast?
